[ ABOUT ]
I bring my passion for gardens to you and create beautiful and functional outdoor spaces.
I grew up around gardens, as my father was a Gardener, and Horticulturist.
My early obsession with art and illustration led me into a career initially of illustration and graphic art, and eventually to becoming a Graphic Designer. I ran my own Graphic Design business for a number of years.
After completing a Diploma in Interior Design I found that some of the principles and knowledge learnt can equally be applied to Garden Design. It now enables me to create a Garden Design with a more holistic view of both the inside and outside of the home.
As part of my studies in Landscape Design I put forward a design for The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. In March of 2018, my garden 'Wonder Wall' was the overall winner, won the Excellence Award as well as the Best Use of Plant Life award, in the Achievable Garden section. The Eucalyptus Polyanthemos tree was very much admired. See the Recognition section below.
One of my core beliefs and values is that garden designs should be affordable and available to as many people as possible. As a result I’ve specialised in small residential gardens, balconies and courtyards with an emphasis on function, beauty, elegance, simplicity and texture.

[ MY APPROACH ]
I provide three options to suit your requirements / budget.
The first option is a consultation where we discuss requirements for your outdoor space, and where I provide you with suggestions and recommendations.
The second option is a concept design. After an initial consultation/questionnaire this includes a scaled drawing showing plant placement and hard surfaces, along with a representation of plants, products, and furnishings.
The third option is drawings for your landscaper and follows on from the concept design. These are detailed construction drawings providing instructions for implementation.
My designs have the flexibility of allowing your outdoor space to be constructed as one or later on in stages, while still maintaining an overall cohesion.
Beyond the design, I’m able to recommend and work with a landscape construction team to ensure the successful installation of your outdoor space.
I also assist with the purchasing of plants, pots, and outdoor furnishings.
